Keep Going - an Outdoor Adventure

We hit the road in our Sprinter van to get away and get inspired. Follow our YouTube channel and get ready for some cool outdoor designs dropping soon!

Who’s haunting your house harder right now? You? Or actual ghosts? They’re probably annoyed that you’re doing their job better than them. You know, moaning, wandering the halls, moving things around in the kitchen with no particular purpose... there’s no actual reason for this question, just wanted to make a funny observation........

Funny how things happening around you can change your perspective on stuff like... say... an alien abduction.  2019- "Probably rather not..." 2020- "Probably, why not!?"

Everyday Things

So Tuesdays are where it’s at!
We’re going to announce a new design every other Tuesday, post about it that week and then release it a week later. So our cadence will be announce, release, announce, release and we can all be thinking Taco Tuesdays just became T-shirt Tuesdays, or Taco and T-shirt Tuesdays or whatever.
Halloween is a fun and weird time of year where spooky imagery comes out of the horror genre corner of culture and joins the mainstream. We love it but we don't love the idea of an "obligatory" halloween shirt.

One of the biggest events in Venice, CA each year is the Abbot Kinney Festival.  It's a fun day of street vendors, food trucks and music.  The past two years have been so wild for us so we've barely been able to think a week ahead to do anything special for the event.

I can hear Ozzy’s voice sounding unusually subdued but still sincere as the words “I’m going through changes” play through my mind. Change can be a vulnerable place to be, stepping out of some mode of comfort or familiarity to make an adjustment in your life. Confidence may be a little shaky and questions bombard your thoughts as you prepare to make the shift to whatever is next.

It’s not always sunny in paradise. The idea that SoCal is sunshine, palm trees and unicorns all year round is a common misconception. There are a few months before summer is in full swing where the weather is just mild and moody. This time of year is dubbed June Gloom (also called May Gray). As the air starts to warm up, the waters of the Pacific Ocean are still relatively cold, which causes clouds to settle over the ocean and creep onto land by morning. It’s pretty rough for the folks of SoCal... it may even cause some frizzing of the hair. But we all hang in there and our most recent design is inspired by this foggy phenomenon.

I just skated up to Santa Monica this morning to grab a coffee and take some time to myself to think. I shot a video with my good friend Pedro last night for a project he’s working on with Charity Water (I’ll let you guys know when it comes out). During the shoot he asked me a lot of questions about Vardagen and whenever I get interviewed I start to realize how much information is bottled up inside me.
There’s been a pit in my stomach watching the fires rage and the death tolls go up each day. I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose family or friends from this or see my home and all my neighbors homes destroyed. We’re located just south of the fire, close enough that the wind blows ash into the store
After 6 years in Fishers we’ve decided it’s time for us to close our store. Our last day will be October 20th. There’s a number of reasons for our decision but the main issue is due to our building situation. We haven’t been able to renew our lease for a while now and running a retail store month to month isn’t fun at all.

The new year is upon us and we get a fresh chance to go after big things!  Although I don’t know what your goals are and how successful you’ve been at achieving them, I do know that this year you can do better. We’re all in that same boat.
