Sapphire is the melancholy one in the group. His parents named him Sapphire because to them he was a precious jewel (and they thought he would be a girl and had already become too attached to the name). To him, though, the name "Sapphire" only reinforces how blue he feels especially when other ghosts tease him for having a princess name. Someday he will recognize that being a princess is cool, but not today.
